How do I count a row?

Open a project and tap anywhere on the big number. The minus button takes one off and Undo reverses your last change, including a reset.

What is a repeat counter?

Add a counter and set a repeat length, for example 8 for an 8-row cable. It counts 1 to 8, starts over at 1, and remembers how many repeats you've finished.

How do row reminders work?

In Edit Counter & Reminders, add a reminder for a row ("start the decreases" at row 24). Set Then every to repeat it, for example every 6 rows. The reminder appears when the counter reaches that row.

Can I count with Siri?

Yes: "Add a row in Skeinwise", "Remove a row in Skeinwise" or "Which row am I on in Skeinwise". Siri uses the project in progress you worked on most recently.

How do I move to a new phone?

Settings → Export Backup saves one file with every project, pattern, photo, yarn and tool. Open that file on the new phone (or use Settings → Import Backup). Importing only adds what's missing; it never deletes anything.

The Lock Screen counter doesn't appear

It's part of Skeinwise Pro. Check Settings → Skeinwise → Live Activities is on, then turn on Lock Screen Counter in the project.

Restore a purchase

Settings → Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you bought Pro with.
